Music is my passion, specifically film music. I am influenced by the great film composers like Howard Shore, Hans Zimmer, James Horner and of course the all mighty John Williams. I have written numerous scores for films (Comedies, action, dramas) and plays and am looking for any type of film to score. Here are two clips from orchestral film scores i have written. I also write electronic and rock scores, but my strength is with orchestral scores.
I'm working on a short horror flick. It's my first short, but I do think it will be pretty decent. Think a j-horror kind of movie that's about 5-10 minutes long.
Lets say I finish this movie and it turns out to be very decent, you could help me with the score if you like. The music could set the entire atmosphere.
I won't bother you with a crap movie though. But if I finish this and its good, I would love to have you on the project.
Now, one question: How do you do it? Equipment? Software? I would love to make scores like this but have no idea where to start. (I do play the piano very well).
Anyway, good luck with your music career and perhaps we will work on a project together sooner or later.

Thanks man! All of the sounds you hear are from east west/quantum leap symphonic orchestra gold (http://www.soundsonline.com/sophtml/details.phtml?sku=EW-160). I don't know how familiar you are with computer music, but this is a plug-in which gives me access to orchestral instruments. My host is SONAR 4, and I have a CME UF6 controller. I couldn't actually watch the clip (just froze on the first scene of the awesome road clip), but most definitely, when this film or any other film is ready, just tell me and I’d gladly score it!

Your music is absolutely awesome. At the moment we're finishing a SW fanfilm project, just for experimenting with some VFX, editing, camera angles, etc.
Yet I've written a promising new short, psyho-like. It looks a bit like Memento and such I guess. I have showed the script to numerous people and they all loved it, even some people who tend to be very critical at times, so I'm looking forward to shoot it. I'd love it if you could score it. If you like, I can send you the script. I think I will change some parts (prolly put in some extra stuff, but anyway)...
I really love John Williams and Howard Shore. Maybe it'd be cool if you could do our fanfilm, give it an original score. At the moment it looks pretty good but we're almost done editing and we need to do some VFX and stuff so prolly about 3 weeks. I hope to shoot the next short in a week, or two.

Hey Jerome! Wow, you're really offering to do scores for free? That's amazing! As it so happens, I have this documentary-like short I did called Blood Drive '05 a little while back, and I did it to the song "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother" by The Hollies, and I don't think it went over as well as it could have. The video's about 4 minutes and 48 seconds long, and I was wondering if maybe you could write me a piece of score for it that I can lay over the video instead? Please email me at:
sonicboom989@hotmail.com
Thanks!

Do you have an orchestra? If not what program or software do you use? I want to learn how to make orchestral music with only a computer and no orchestras needed.
haha, no i do not have an orchestra. I use Quantam Leap/East West symphonic gold (http://www.soundsonline.com/sophtml/details.phtml?sku=EW-160). It is incredibly cpu intensive, and if you are considering buying it i suggest you have more than 1g of ram. Hope this helps and good luck!

Hey, I have been looking Forever to find someone with actual talent at a pc-based orchestra suite. If you're interested, I'm looking to rescore "The Hit" (fixed version, Not online yet)
Hi. I am looking for someone to score my CG animated short film that will eventually become a web series. I am seeking funding for this, so it will either be a paying job in the pre-production phase, or you will be compensated from future earnings. I am looking for exactly the same type of music that you posted as your sample.
I also love the great composers that you listed and just last month got to see John Williams conduct the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl. I was also very devastated when Jerry Goldsmith passed away last year. He was one of my favorites.
Anyway, check out the teaser poster for the film on my webpage at http://www.deathvalleystudios.com. That is an actual render of the models that will be used in the film. The animators I have are spectacular and my script is going to be very humorous. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks.

Hey Jerome, I am working on pre-production of a film that will be shot in the upcoming year. I have a playlist of music but don't want to have copyright infringment. If you want I can send you the tracks and maybe you can do something similar that will create the same effect. If you need visual aid, I can send you a rough copy of the script. I don't mind paying you either. I would however recommend that you use special program for some of the desired tones (http://www.swarsystems.com/). Get at me.

Jerome, have you been able to check out my movie (Sith Happens) these past few days? Because I emailed a couple of weeks ago, you replied over a week ago, but I haven't heard anything since then. Please respond because I don't know if you're still willing to score it.
Thanks,
Gotan

Hello there, your music sounded very nice... I was wondering if you would perhaps be interested in scoring a 5 minute film? Its sort of a comedy.. and I am just about to beginning editing. I would be very much obliged that perhaps if you are interested we could discuss things closer.
