I need some songs made for the film I am making.
I need 2 of them actually.

Originally I had wanted to use the actual master rights for these songs:


“Happy Together” by the Turtles


and


“What a Difference a Day Makes” sang by Dinah Washington, OR “What a Day for a Daydream”



Since the licenses to use these songs are so expensive, I was wondering if I’d be able to get someone to record their own songs with a similar feel to these.


The first one (Happy Together) needs to be one of those old obnoxiously happy silly songs from the 60’s.

The second one needs to also be “old” sounding, and needs to have that happy creepy feel to it. Listen to “What a Day for a Daydream” and you’ll see what I mean. Let me know if you would be willing and interested.

I basically have no budget for this film. But, it will get great exposure.

I believe I'm familiar with "Happy Together" if you are referencing the Golden Grahms music from the old commercials by chance, but wasn't sure on the other song. Hey im not a composer or anything but i am a young film maker always looking for people to work with. I live in Plymouth and also In belleville michigan ( actually i sleep in plymouth but spend all my time in Bellville ) I was wondering if either of you would be intrested in maybe meetin up some time and doing some work together maybe make a short. I am 20 years old. Sorry I know you are looking for a composer but when I saw Michigan I got excited!

Wow! I just found this site, and the first message I read has some local folks from MI! I'm from Ferndale, and I'm looking to get some decent film footage for my promo reel featuring my unique songwriting abilities by playing the crazy 8 string NS/Stick guitarbass hybrid.
