I'm looking for a composer for "The Lifeguard." We just finished shooting 12 tapes of footage. The vision for the music is very, very straightforward and simple as the storyline purposefully involves cliches like Indiana Jones, James Bond and film noir-type styles, which is why I'm looking for someone who can show those genre's who's boss and really hit what I'm looking for. I already have a melody in mind for other parts as well, however I am very open to new ideas. This is a mellow comedy/romance.

Compensation is $150, as much as we can give to the music department of this film. The movie is estimated to be 10 to 15 minutes long although I think it will be longer (my cohorts disagree).

We expect to finish the film by "winter break" i.e. the end of the year. Since it's not edited yet I'd like the composer to be able to come up with the score from the script and then adapt it as I send him/her the finished scenes on DVD or over the web.

I'm really excited about this film, and I know how important the music is in any production. This is by far the most involved and biggest production I have ever been involved with, so if you enjoyed Ace Ramano , Broken Minds or the One Headlight music video on this site, you'll love being a part of The Lifeguard family.
