...i took the garbage out today. My mom told me it was impressive for me to do that. I felt good then she gave me a hug. It was like I had achieved something...but not really.
---------------------- really makes ya think about life, doesn't it? Like...the big question....what the hell is a croissant and what the hell is it doing in my pants?!
Thanks for that post Terranean (ignore the blather). I checked out the site and the trailer looks interesting! There were a couple of times the dialogue was overshadowed by music, but other than that - it looked really good. Very nice shots in the trailer. Congrats!
Can you (or the students) make a link on that page that describes equipment used (cams, mics, lights, editing, etc.)? Also the time spent, ages of the filmmakers, etc. That would be most interesting (at least to me!).
Looks like a great effort. Good luck on the premiere.

I will check it out, but that isnt the first time its been done. You may want to show them what some other 16 year olds (and highschool i general) are doing. Look up "The Lost Soldiers" on this site. Its a highschool feature, and looks fantastic.
Then there is "Girl/boy14" These kids started shooting it when they were 16, but didnt finish all the post production until they were 19. The reason? It has the greatest amatuer "matrix" effects ever. On top of that, it isnt a simple "Matrix" ripoff. The film is about a girl with a split personality disorder. Her alter ego is a 16 year old boy. Her personality changes are inspired by media violence. Whenever she looses it, she becomes him. In her warped mind, these elaborate "media like" fights take place. Hence, the matrix stuff. These kids had to digitally map out, and render in CGI a public restroom in order to create acurate bullet time effects. Check out www.schoolis2die4.com for more info. In the mean time, I will check out this one. Pulling off a feature is still a huge accomplishment, and they deserve credit for that. I just find its better to know what your up against (aka: to know what others like you have done) Best of luck. R. Michael

My first film was a feature... took nine months to write... spent two years making it... 70+ cast and crew... When it was all said and done, I was just about to turn 16.
I have seen all of lost soldiers and find it amazing that he made that movie and were still in high school like myself. He even put in flashes and traveled to places to get shots for the movie. I believe that the production took about 9 months and costed them over 800 dollars for the wardobe and fireworks. He also did all his own music, and was accepted with a scolarship into SCAT(I believe thats the name of the school correct me if I'm wrong I believe some of you may have heard about it.)
