I was wondering how many filmmakers on this site are in High School still (like myself) who desires to see who he/she is going to be working with in the future. I know of few, Jeff Ray and JP Saalfield (both of whom are very talented) and some of those attending the Innerspark Calarts program and Young Filmmakers Academy. But I would like to know overall whom I am going to be working with in the future. Or at least those of my relative age level. (As they are not only my future comrades and allies, but my dearly beloved competition.) J/K

Please post below if you are a 9th-12grade filmmaker.

Later Comrades.

"Who you're going to be working with in the future?"

lol.

do you mean.. working with in the future.. as in .. the film industry?

Pretty ambitious.

I suppose theres nothing wrong with that, but ID beware if even YOU make it into (whatever field your refering to), I would bet that only 1% of the people on this site will actually be there too. I highly doubt that you will "be working with" all these guys, as nice as that may sound... but this business... especially.. is veeeeryyy competitive.

My dad went to film school, and he sais that of all of his classmates, only one other besides himself went into telivision and film. In fact, one of the guys that graduated with him is now working where he works, as a security guard manager.

Im not discouraging anyone, but rather trying to inspire, but at the same time tell the reality. To make it, you are gonna have to put your all into it. I want to quote my dad's film professor... "To do well in the Television and film industry, you must have an unhealthy desire to succeed." - Ripley Williams.

I dunno, just thought it was a rather od coment to say "i want to know who i will be working with in the future." .. but no offense.

Regardless, I will answer your Q.

Im 17, and a Senior in HS.

I know some people at a local tv station and can definately tell you it's not as much how genius you are at filmmaking but more what conections you have. Wink

If you guys could also list the films you have made that are on the site, that would be optimal as well.

Later Comrades.

(I would also like to point out in this junction that I am not a communist, despite how many people question my political orientation due to my use of the word "comrade")

Thank you for your understanding

I have another movie coming on here in the next month or so...It's called "CoolBeans" It's only like 3 min long, It's just a REALLY cool fighting scene. Yes I am in high school, I am 15,

"The Mark" was made when I was like 13 though.

16, Going in 11th, I've made about 20 short movies ranging from 10 minutes to 45 minutes, but have never put any on the board yet since I just found the board.
