I've published a book called 20 Questions: The Inteview Series that has 10 interviews with successful micro-budget filmmakers. The response so far has been great, including a recent review which stated "To those who aspire to make their own films, this book should be a godsend."
The book covers writing, directing, editing, acting, distribution and more. It contains interviews with:
- Brad Osborne (Innuendo Films) - Jon Ashby (Infiniti Productions) - Kat Candler (Mutiny Productions) - Dan Gorgone (Random Foo Pictures) - Young Man Kang (Young Man Kang Productions) - Jason Santo (Mindscape Pictures) - Marc & Michael Linn (Linn Productions) - Mike Amato (Jodom Pictures) - Tim Ritter (Sub Rosa, Mid-West Division) - Chris Linn (StandBack Productions)
I'm about to begin interviews for the next book, so they'll be more books in the future.
Glad to see you on these boards Pete. Ive heard great things about this book, from very reliable sources. A nice addition to any amatuer film makers collection. Now, if I can figure out where my wife hid the checkbook.....
I just downloaded the pdf. After a quick skim, it looks very interesting. I look foreward to curling up with a blanket and adobe acrobat to read it thuroughly.
You mention in the intro that you had some of these interviews before you decided to publish the book. When--what years--were the interviews done?

RMW, thanks for the nice welcome! I've been looking for other micro-budget film communities and this one is very well done.
THE MIND... The book can be purchased via web directly from the publisher (takes about 2 weeks to get the book) or at a book signing. I'm starting the book signings now, but I live in Florida and don't anticipate travelling a great deal outside of the state... but you never know
JOREN... The interviews were completed less than a year ago for some and over a year for others. I originally started publishing them in an independent film mag called EYEBALL. But, when that went defunct (but, I think it's making a comeback) I had a few left over and decided to publish a book.
I really think that people will find this type of book very informative. To be honest, one of the driving forces for me has been to make a book that I wish I would have had when I first got the filmmaking bug.
I'll be starting a new round of interviews in the next few months. It usually takes a month or so for an interview to happen, so it'll be a few months after that before I've collected another ten.
