Hey, yeah. I made a short teaser trailer for my documentary I am working on. It barely scratches the surface of what this movie will be about but of course that is the point of a teaser trailer. Yeah anyway I got it on my site, you can view it here: http://www.jkaufman.ca/lunchbreak/vid/tapecar.WMV

My main website is http://www.jkaufman.ca/lunchbreak/ by the way. Thanks!

Hey that looks really funny...and interesting! When are you going to be done with it?

And it also begs the question, did the freakin' camera stay attached to the car? hehe

Well all of the filming won't be done until summer is over. Then there's the editing which will probably take a while.. there will be TONS of footage to go through. So I have no idea. Could be sometime 2004.

Sorry the "teaser" didn't really tell me anything about your movie, except that your being creative and using low budget ideas, which I think is great.

What is your documentary about? I hope you don't plan on using that as a final teaser for advertising, even though its quite funny, it doesn't get the point across.

lol yeah. It's not supposed to give too much away and I purposly left out the actual footage that was taken by that camera taped to the front of a car. But the documentary is generally about me and my 3 main friends that all met in grade 9. Explaining how we all met, and all the things that happened to some other friends (used to be 6 main guys in our group) and then going into explaining how some of us are getting accepted into far away colleges and that this is our last summer all together so we have to make it the best summer ever. There will most likely be alot of crazy things happening along the way.... It will also pretty much dig into the lives of the 4 of us, and also show behind the scenes of other little video projects that we work on.

....And no it's probably not going to be my final trailer for advertising, just a little early sneak peak or something to put on my website.

If done right, that will be an awesome documentary (and I am sure u will do it right). A lot of people around that age will be able to relate and respond to that kind of documentary. I was going to do a similar idea for a movie... but decided against it at last minute. I have to many projects on the go to dive into something that personal and indepth.. which is to bad, because any filmmaker could benefit from that type of experience (personal documentary etc.)
Good luck with everything!

thanks for the encouragement! I was originally going to make a "fictional" short film that was based on the types of things I have gone through, but decided that I should actually do a non-fictional documentary instead. I am so excited to work on this, I can't wait until I have enough footage to actually start editing some of the film. Editing is one of my favourite parts of filmaking...
