My first great professional achievement in editing has been completed! A 76-minute documentary called "Keeping The Wild" has been completed by two filmmakers who happen to be kin to one of my cousins, and I'm psyched...mostly because I got a credit on it!
The documentary is about this eccentric animal hoarder in Colorado who took about 80 wild cougars into him and his family's house, and ended up getting so frustrated with them that he ended up killing them all! Crazy stuff, isn't it?
Anyways, my cousin dropped my name to the filmmakers when they were looking for help in editing together this documentary, and I ended up doing numerous email correspondances with them, giving them advice about the direction in which to take the documentary. The show has just been completed, and I got an "editing consultant" credit! You can see it right here:
OK, maybe it's not much, but it's a definite start to my hopefully blooming career...it will definetley look good on my Emerson resume, I know that much. It's currently being submitted to numerous television networks and film festivals, including Sundance, and hopefully you all will get the chance to see it someday! I might even get on IMDB for this...*fingers crossed*
