Hey everyone,

I just graduated from Tisch and finished a new HD short comedy called "Alaster, Back Home from College". We are having a cast/crew/friends screening this friday at 730 pm at the LA Film School at Sunset Blvd and Ivar.

I would love to invite anyone who would want to come and check out this project (shot w/ the CineAlta F-900) - even if it's just to see what student professionals can do with HD.

The invitation is online @

(site coming soon)

It turned out really well, hope you can come! Email me at eric@mediabagfilms.com or post if you have any questions or want to let me know you're coming.

It's too bad I'm going out of town. I only live a few blocks from LA film school and I'd love to check your film out. I really like their theatre.

Please post again if you have future screenings.

I'll do my best to make it, but Cinegear Expo is this weekend and may throw a wrench into things.

I agree that the LAFS theater is pretty good. A film I gaffed last summer showed there a couple of weeks ago. Their 35mm projector is a hair on the dark side (My wagon wheel disappeared!). Relatively speaking, for a small non-commercial facility, their video/hd projections are pretty good too. No true blacks in the image, but not much aliasing either.

Congrats on completing the film Eric!

So, the real question is:

Was the catering/craft service completely vegan? How'd your crew do?
