Check out this site for the absolute worst student films ever created by a bunch of high schoolers:

Some of them are so sad that they're funny. Others are so sad that they are...just plain sad.

Go ahead and bash them, because we know that they suck.

Enjoy!

Alright, I'm not going to bash them 'cause they had the drive to pick up a camera and produce something worthwhile. I actually watched the whole 9 minutes just to see what was going to happen next. I think they executed their concept clearly, and of course, there were some obvious pitfalls that are inherent to beginning filmmakers (the camera man giggling at the onscreen action is a great one - although it made me smile). I noticed Jeff Andrews has a strong screen presence as well, maybe he might consider a drama education in the future?

Obviously they had a lot of fun and wished to share it online. I don't think anyone is expected to pick up a video camera for the first time and produce the next 8 1/2.

Thanks for the feedback.....yeah, Jeff is a phenomenal actor. He was the lead for our many of our plays and musicals in highschool and has been in a lot of other productions....he's really really good at improv and at just picking a character and adopting the accent, speech patterns and mannerisms very convincingly.

Unfortunately, he's going to college to be an elementary school teacher.

When we finally try to do a serious movie with real editing and real production values and TECHNIQUE, he'll definitely be the star.

Hopefully Jeff will continue with acting as a hobby, I'd like to see him in more stuff in the future. He can adapt to the funny cookie-cutter cartoon characters well enough, but it would be interesting to see how he'd take on a improv'd drama role - part of the reason I wondered if Jeff has considered a drama education.

I honestly stayed up late last night checking out the different film clips online. Every now and then there was a 'golden moment' in each video that played out very well. This collection is essentially raw creativity (much like how many of us started off - I know I have old tapes full of this type of stuff), and as you and your group continue developing and refining your filmmaking/production skills, the outcome will improve remarkably.

When (I say 'when' because I'm know it's only a matter of time before it happens) you do produce a polished film, I hope you consider submitting it in to here, where you can receive the serious attention (and sometimes criticism) that you may wish for or even require to continue improving.
