oh man. what's funny is that you'd think salinger would get totally pissed if he heard of any one doing this to his book, since he's so protective of them.

but then again he doesn't care what people think so i wonder if he would care what someone thought a movie based on one of his works should look like.

Very nice imagery and use of sound, but I only saved that trailer to my hard drive because I know it will be gone tomorrow, with the Salinger estate crawling up your ass and all...

LISTEN:

1st: No one will ever get the rights to that property. Period!

2nd: Some day these newbies that do these crap interpretations will realize how typically "amateur" they were for even attempting such a film. People that know film, know you CAN NOT recreate the book. Leave it alone...

So... if you wanna be "typical" tell people you think it should be a film. There's other books out there you know.

This trailer has convinced me that Catcher in the Rye should never adapted into a movie. I had some creeping doubts, but this trailer has erased them from my brain.

I just replied on his old announcement of making the film, so i hope you guys read mt point on why Ricky shouldn't make this film
