I've been making movies and films and shorts of all sorts for quite a while and it finally came to me that I can't always use "no budget productions" and "cheap a$$ films" all my video career(well I could but I don't wnat to)

so I came to feel "right" so to speak with the idea of "checkmate"
I love dice, I love pool, I love chess- it only seemed fit that that impending phrase become connotated as my production name... but what sounds best?

All my life I have been lucky- I wonder how long this streak will go and If it will make me famous *wink wink*

Seems like Checkmate Entertainment is the way to go. My company, as you may have guessed is Popcorn Pictures. But I'm not sure if its taken yet. I hope not cause I came up with it 3 years ago and Im damn proud of it. Check out the start of our new screenplay at scriptbuddy.com. Go to published screenplays and find "The Boxer" by Rossco. Theres only the opening few scenes there but some feedback would be cool. So check it out.

Or dont. Do what you want. Were not trying to pressure you into anything. You may as well wait for the finished version...

Thanks guys- I went with "entertainment" and I made a groovy little intro for all my films(which will be hopefully up here in a month or so).
Popcorn, I'll make sure to go check it out in a few days- I'm out in San Diego today so my time is limited... and school starts on monday so ick- I'm such a procrastinator on winter break work. oh well
