you spelled Soderbergh wrong.

And why only 3 directors? Theres tons of great directors out there.

And best in what way? Because I think Spielberg has made a lifetime achievement, whom will be remembered as long as there are movies, but The Bros are my favorite, because they put so much thought into the Matrix Trilogy. But who knows, Maybe if they directed a romance or a comedy, it would blow. Thats why Spielberg is great, because he excels in all he does. He can direct Action, suspense, drama, comedy, war, romance, you name it! Even his company DreamWorks is a huge success! This is what makes Spielberg great. But the WachowskiBros are genius. And Soderbergh makes fun movies, but I havent seen anything epic from him yet.

How could you mention great directors without Spike! Also, Wes Anderson, George Lucas.

I think this works better as an open post, not a poll.

Besides, you forgot Wes Anderson, the greatest filmmaker of the late 90s in my opinion.

Quinten Tarintino is one of the bests, too.

The closest we have to a modern master IMO. There are too many other excellent filmmakers to begin a list.
