It's been a while but I have managed to trespass my way back into the forums! I spent the majority of my summer working on a low budget (about $500) film in southwest Michigan. I was the Director of Photography and editor. The film, entitled Tolerance, is about a 36 year old recluse who tells the story of how he made his two best friends. It was a difficult production to light because every scene was outdoors, but I got some excellent experience lighting night scenes and the hard work was well worth it. Just thought I'd post some screenshots.

Absolutely. Honestly, the budget was more around $300 - $400 with all the lights and generator rentals - but seriously - if you are going to make a movie that contains night scenes, you must "light the night" and money (and talent of course) is critical in giving the film a professional look.
I am currently finishing up the audio mixing, and after that I will film some interviews with the cast and crew, and some other stuff to add on the DVD. This should take place around Columbus Day weekend so after that I will start selling DVDs on my website. I'm also trying to find the time to make a trailer to send to studentfilms.com, but I've been stumped with a lot of work lately so I can't guarentee when I can do that. I'm glad you guys like what you see! Thanks for the comments!
