So, for anyone who cares in spite of moving to North Carolina, and of going back to Florida to shoot the Hi-Def feature version of "Intersection", I managed to piece togthere a poster for my up coming short film "Fender Bender"
Some may remember I mentioned it some time back. Otherwise, here is a refresher... It is the twisted little tale of a suave, latino lady killer in route to dump the dad girl in his trunk, when he accidentally rearends the WRONG guy. Starring Alejandro Fuenmayor, and Eric Jordan. The running time looks like it should be right at (or just under) 10 minutes, and will most likley find its way on to sites like www.triggerstreet.com as well as here of course. Ill keep you posted. In the mean time, here it is.
Also, for any interested the final touches are being put on a special edition "Intersection" DVD. We still have a few kinks to work out, but I got a screener copy at its pretty cool. The DVD includes "Intersection" as well as another award winning short of mine "The Elevator" and a short that my D.P/producer wrote and directed titled "Straight Up" Tossed in is a copy of the Hi-Def trailer for the "Intersection" feature, as well as cast and crew bios and film synopsis.
All in all you have almost 1& 1/2 hours of short films, plus the HD trailer. Not to shabby I dont believe. I have thought about selling copies (mainly just enough to cover costs) if anyone would be interested in such a thing, be sure to let me know and Ill get the paypal set up. Thats all for now, enjoy. I think the poster is pretty cool. My only gripe is the tagline. I think it is too cheesy. If I can think of a better one I'll let you know of it, I just think it sounds too much like the tagline is trying to hard to get you to watch the movie. I think a tagline should help the film be distributed, not "forcing" people to want them to watch it.
Other than that it is pretty cool. I would buy the DVD. Would anyone be interested in buying a DVD of feature version of The Lost Soldiers?
Also, how do you insert pictures on posts. I want to put up some pics of my new feature Distant Walls (shot with the DVX100!) for all to see and critique. Tizzy, I think you'd be most impressed with our lighting and cinematography. Haha.

As Far as the tagline, I think it's pretty good. In my opinion however, I think it's a better irony without the ellipses or with moving the ellipses, like, "One guy is trying to get rid of the body in his trunk... the other guy is insane." or something like that.
Verrette...
I would be interested in purchasing the lost soldiers depending on the price (I'm not cheap, I just have my own productions to fund). Email me with the details.

If it were my film I'd have a picture from behind the car and the trunk is open with a chick's hand hanging out...then maybe the title written on the license plate...I think that'd look cool. With the tagline being bumper stickers or something.
Only my opinion.

If you want, I'd be more then happy to throw to together a poster for you.
E-mail about it, and I will have no problem creating a poster for you.
I am also very interested in purchasing a dvd with your short films on it... as long as you don't edit it to just one or two short films. I want the whole deal!!!
If you don't look I'll force you to _=_

Ok, thanks for the feedback. It is very "photoshop" mainly because I never planned on making a poster, but did it so i might keep busy while i couldnt cut it togthere. I think there is too much going on though, so Ill drop some stuff and see what happens.
As for the tagline, it encapsulates what it is about, and the sense of humor within. In this short, a serial killer with a dead girl is the hero. The guy the audience has to root for. Why? Because he looks normal compared to the other guy. A bit cheesy, but deliberatley so. I think the look is "trying to hard" and therfore degrades the tagline.
As for the DVD it will have 3 shorts on it. Almost an hour and a half of stuff to see,(Intersection RT:28 min, The Elevator RT:18 min, Straight Up. RT:28 min.) plus the Hi-Def trailer. Three shorts for one low price aint bad. "Fender Bender" wont be on there, but once I have a few Ill make another, or it may just be bonuses on my horror feature DVD. Ill keep you posted. R. Michael
