well, its been along time comin, but I finally have some screen grabs to show from the Hi-Def railer we shot awhile back. Trouble is, these arent as pretty as they should be. See, some people failed to get grabs while they were at the HD suite, so these arent from the master. These are actually from a DVD copy of the trailer (routed through a camera, and firewire, into AVID so we could rip the grabs) so there is significant loss of picture quality, and added grain, but what can ya do? I should have some cleaner ones soon, but until then, go to the Tizzy HD stills page to view. Let me know your toughts, and enjoy. R. Michael

Good looking stills, Tizz. Was the DP on that the same guy at the screening at Abacoa? Frank? Jack? Or something...hehe. Can't remember. But yeah...wonderful looking stuff. HD is a DP and a step away from toppling film. Good luck.

I would have posted the pics here, but i had this scam for remote hosting pics through my Cafepress shops, and they seem to have gotten wise to it, as it no longer works. Damn! Oh well. Do me a favor, do the extra leg work, click on the link, and trow your feedback to me here. Thanks for being good sports. R. M.

No, he was there the night before for the trailers premiere, but it would be beneath him to go to the student showcase. Blah... The Guy Jose is the director, and my DP from "Intersection" Alex, is the camera operator. R. M.

Those pictures look awesome! I wish I had actors like that...Yeah, this makes me all the more anxious to see the final product. One thing, though; you called the woman in the ambulance an amazing actor. It's actress I'm so picky.

quote:Originally posted by Irony is a Dead Scene: So for your short film "Intersection" (not the one incorporated into the HD), you wrote the script, acted in it and directed in it?
What part did you have in the Film that includes your story in it ?
Ok, yes, for "Intersection" I was an actor, writter, director, producer, editor, music supervisor, music composer (on one song) make up, and FX, fight coreographer, art director, and lighting technician... (whew)
On the feature, I am co writter, as well as co directing the "Intersection" script in the featue. I am also the films Art Director, music supervisor, and associate producer. I also have been roped in to playing my role again (Somehow, I am the only actor who managed to keep their job, and I didnt want it)
As for "Actress" thats kind of like saying "stewardess" although not taken with such offense, but both apply. I was trying to be P.C. It dosent really fit me. LOL
As for the grain, believe me, its there. Those look like they were dragged through the mud compared to what this camera spits out. As for the "hospital" LOL, actually, thats a scene in "Intersection" The still with the older woman is in the back of an ambulance (those are real EMTs BTW) The city paid them OT to show up with the ambulance, and "act". Thanks for the feedback. The director will be pleased to hear the response, so keep it coming. R. M.

That's it, I just realized what these stills made me think of. Look at the full motion video in video games. These look just like stills from a video game FMV to me. I don't if it's the lighting or whatever grian is in there, but man, I swear it's reminiscent of vg FMV's. Not a bad thing or anything, there was just something about these I just couldn't put my finger on until just now. Also, I'm sure it looks completely different in motion. Anyway...
LOL nothing special Jay, just an Acid job, with some loops and such. Although, i am working on some stuff for a short I am DP'ing that would be a little more creative on my end then just arranging sounds.
As for that "look" I blame it on the DP's love of pro mist filters. He went pro mist crazy. Everything looks "love boat" to me, but oh well. R. M.
