Ryan, I don't think you quite understood the question. We're talking about spam from spammers who might be harvesting the email addresses from people's profiles. Though, I'm not sure how feasible that is for them. Dischordia, you should go to the 'Go' menu, choose 'My Space > Profile' then click 'Edit complete profile' and scroll down until you find the 'Display Email' - make that blank. | PerryKroll.com | TRC | "If not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled." Yeah, I don't see your email in your profile, so that's not where they're getting it. | PerryKroll.com | TRC | "If not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled." Wodehouse

It might be from the main site. I'll look into putting an e-mail address blocker up in the future. Do you have your e-mail listed in your profile in the main site or on reviews? I hate e-mail address spiders. -Chris Studentfilms.com

While we're on the subject of email addresses on the main site... I, thinking I was being clever, listed my email address on banana road as http://www.perrykroll.com/contact.phpThat's a web page with an email form, so spam bots won't get my email address. The result was that it's listed in the site as an email link nonetheless, making it impossible for anyone to contact me at all. So my question is, is the email link automatically generated? Or can you turn that into a normal URL link somehow? | PerryKroll.com | TRC | "If not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled." Wodehouse

Well there is a way that you can hide e-mail addresses when they're displayed so that they're hidden from bots. I'll need to add that to the code that generates the e-mails in the profiles in the reviews. I'll add that to my programmers massive "to do" list. -Chris Studentfilms.com
