Im not sure what changed, but for the first time in half a year I have been able to access the studentfilms main site. I wonder what happened... Unfortunately it will no allow me to watch any short films: everytime I click on "Broadband Version" or "Modem Version" to view a film, it takes me to a blank white screen.

The white screen means your quicktime install is acting up. Head over to quicktime.com and get yourself another! Smile

hmm... it also takes me to a blank white screen when I click on most of the movie titles. (instead of taking me to a page with the description/credits/running time/etc. of the movie.

And on the main page, theres only the main menubar and underneath it is a lot of:

"Exception:net.sf.jrf.exceptions.DatabaseException: java.sql.SQLException: Connection.close() has already been called. Invalid operation in this state.: SELECT SCHOOL.SCH_ID, SCHOOL.NAME, SCHOOL.SORT_NAME, SCHOOL.URL, SCHOOL.DESCRIPTION FROM SCHOOL WHERE SCHOOL.SCH_ID=?: Connection.close() has already been called. Invalid operation in this state.&nsbp;
Stack Trace net.sf.jrf.exceptions.DatabaseException: java.sql.SQLException:"

etc, etc, etc.

Anyone else have this problem?

Hmm.... it sounds like it's worse than a QT issue, so never-mind about my suggestion.

I get that problem a lot from the site, the main page hasn't worked for me at home or at school for the last few days. I also get the blank white page your'e talking about. I've tried it with explorer and firefox, still no go. Usually it fixes itself in a day or two.

I have the same problem. It's obviously a server-side change.

All of a sudden, everything works as normal. There were no abnormalities present on the main site, and I was able to watch a few short films.

Yes. It's the darn error screen of death. I wasn't able to check up on the site as often as I'd like, while I was away. (internet access was spotty at best)

It was apparently a mess up in the server's firewall that caused the problem for some people. (Sorry)

I'm back in town. I hope everyone is doing well.

There's going to be a MAJOR update of new films tomorrow. (Sunday)

Best Regards,
Chris Wright
