After watching my video at Studentfilms.com, I noticed that the quality was a bit less than I expected. Both audio and video seemed not as crisp as that of what I had on my mini DV tape that I mailed in. Any ideas on how I could make the best of my quality?

It's because the video must be compressed for the web. Look at every film on the site; they all look like that. It's really the best it can be without being too big of a file.

Yeah I guess you are right. I was looking at other films, and I thought they looked better in quality, but maybe I am wrong.

Because the site hosts hundreds and hundreds of films and gets 70-80 thousand visitors a month I need to keep the file size down. (Plus they load much quicker!)

For the file size that the films are, the quality is actually really good.

Yeah, I am usually pleased with the quality of the video, however I don't like the 15fps because when I submitted a film, certain split second (1/29.97 second) frames were cut out. I can deal with it though.

lol, you serious? If so maybe it's just the downsizing of the image.

yeah, stuff always looks better when its downsized, gets rid of imperfections, but usually the compression takes care of that, and it comes out equal or worse Smile

ah, how i long for 20MB/sec internet!
