For about four days in a row now I've been having the MySQL.Exception/Javascript error on the main page (and every other page for that matter) and I was wondering what could possibly be causing this. I know some other people are having this same problem. Naturally I'm confident that the ever-capable moderators will repair whats wrong and thus once again complete my life, but in the meantime I can't help but be curious.

Yeah, I've gotten that page quite often recently. I sometimes have to refresh three or four times before the page displays properly.

I have a good friend in CS who says the site just needs a new flux capacitor.

Yes sorry guys...that's the error of death. Should be fixed soon. I know I've been saying that for a while. Sorry.

I'm off for a family vacation in Northern WI and internet connection is sparse. A friend is supposed to be checking the site for me and I guess it hasn't happened as often as I'd like.

I'll be back on the 17th and I'll try to log on at least once per day to make sure everything is kosher - sorry about the errors.

Hey Chris, Sorry to bump an old topic but myself and friends still get this error on a regular basis I'd say as often as 3-4 Times a week. For me not a problem since I refresh and often goes away, but some others do run into errors.

Yes I know. Frown But the good news is that we're really close to launching a build that should get rid of that error forever. Yay. Smile

Oh cool, is this the rebuild you were talking about that's like a whole "rework" of the entire system to allow some cool new features?

Rebuild of the backbone of the site so that it is faster with hopefully no errors and yes - some new features are in the works.

I just fixed the error for now - it should work.

We are really close to getting the new site up sans error.

It's looking like the beginning of March now. (knock on wood)

We'd have it up sooner but my programmer is in Italy on vacation - lucky him.

The Review Me! page is a good preview of some of the features the new version will have.

yeah I just sent out a bunch of messages to bring in viewers to watch my film. now all they're going to see is the script errors and probably wont come back when it's fixed. There goes all my effort AND audience. AWESOME.

If you refresh it's usually fine. It back and happy now. The update (sans error) will be up as soon as possible.

Thank you for being patient.
