we should make one master thread or FAQs for this site. one for cameras, one for microphones, one for lighting, etc.

that way we don't have the same thread come up over and over again everytime someone has a question about the same thing, and everyone can use it as a reference whenever they want. make it printable as well, like a .PDF, so people can carry it around.

it just seems every week there's a thread about why the audio sounds poor on a camcorder, or whether a XL2 or a DVX is better.

That would be great ... if people could ever come to agreement on those issues. It would be a little weird to have a FAQ with a dissenting opinion.

However as much as I think it would be a good resource, I think it's also good to let people ask the questions that get asked over and over again and get a custom response. I'd hate for a newer filmmaker to get scared off by a bunch of people screaming "GO READ THE FAQ."

WHy don't some people just write articles about those specific issues. Then hopefully they'd be more in depth then some of the topics anyways. We haven't even had any articles in a good while, I'd write some but I don't have a clue what I'm doing, lol.

yea, i wouldn't anyone yelling being all condescending about someone asking a question. i just think that there's people that don't make threads that do have questions and they might like reading through a FAQ/article.

and for those people that do have questions, we can direct them to the FAQ/Article and then talk to them about their needs.

man that q-key is hard to find, not a lot of words use it.
