A while ago while I was browsing the forum I came across a few topics were people ask others to read their scripts. Now most of the time you need to email them to request it and then they email you back with the script attached or whatever…

Anyhow here’s my idea for the forum. I’m not sure if it’s possible but it’s worth a try. Add a feature were one can attach a file to their post. I’ve seen this on many other forums and it is used a great deal.

And since I’m talking about the forum I think I should draw attention to the “© Studentfilms.com, Inc. 2007” at the bottom of the page.

i think the main concern is that people don't want their scripts out there for anyone and everyone to read.

Well this kind of feature would be fairly easy to implement (just some basic HTML and PHP)
but you have to consider

1) Security
2) Server space

Well it doesn't have to hecessarily be used to share scripts.

Well I suppose there should be a size limit. I mean a sound file or script can't use loads of space.

I think we should find out how many people would use such a feature on the forum...

I must express my discontent at the moment on the uptake of this topic and many other topics that are just left un-replied to on this forum!!

kylevant,

People don't seem too responsive to your idea...It happens. People reply if they can help, want to help, or care to participate in whatever the thread is about. They keep quiet if they don't.

I personally don't want to upload my scripts here. It's not that I'm against it, I just know I won't participate if or when such a feature exists, therefore I have no opinion on whether or not it should be an addition to the site. I felt no need to reply as such, because it wouldn't further the dialogue.

;-)
