Anyone heard of this place? Some of the classes sound interesting and it's very inexpensive to go there. However, the classes also seem like something you can learn on your own if you have the equipment, and you only get some sort of certificate on completion instead of a BA or MFA.
I dont know much about that place, But I live in plymouth which is about 20 min away from detroit. I didnt even know about the place til you mentioned it, but I'm hopefully going to find time this week or next to give them a call and check the place out. You got me really intrested in it too.

Awesome! Glad the link helped. I'm considering going there even though it isn't a traditional film school. I've looked at a lot of other university type film programs and I think the DFC is what I'm looking for as beginner. If I like my experience there, then perhaps I'll consider going to a traditional film school. If you can, post whatever you find out from your visit.

Yeah I was reading up on the school and the last friday of every month they have open screenings. If you have a project 10 min or less they will show it on the big screen. I think that is SO AWESOME. I called and left them a message so ill be back when i get more info. If you want give me your email address man and I can email you something detailed. I will probobly write back on here tho if others are intrested also.
