I've heard that it becomes harder to get into a school to study film for a Master's degree, if you already studied film for a BA. My question is, would it be a good idea to study cinematography for a BA and then aplly for a Master's in directing? Would that help my chances of being accepted? In case anyone is wondering, I'll be attending CU Boulder for film studies for at least a year. I then plan on transferring to Art Center College of Design, and hopefully one of the bigger schools like USC for my Master's degree.

Hi Diego , if everything was easy on earth there would have been no difference between a layman and a professional...:-) it is obviously a good idea but you can double your chances by getting into a school where you can do both the courses simultaneously or do a mixed course, in this way you ll save lots of time moreover as you already know both the things are related it would be much more easier and you would get the hang of things easily .. find out a place where you could both the tings together.. or maybe you can try out for whistling Woods International , if you are lucky you might get an admisson here ... check the link : http://tr.im/j34x
