Do you think you should major in film as an undergraduate knowing the goal is an M.F.A. degree in film?

"The everyday is so mind-numbing as it is currently being fueled by an inept group of creatives that were spawned into this existence by a society that overwhelmingly embraces spoon-fed philosophies built on a foundation of fad-based truths in hopes of attaining microwave enlightenment."

No. Study something that will inspire you, or else don't get the MFA, because it will be redundant.

depending on where you plan on attending, you could major in something more constructive and minor in film. Lots of the better film schools, including UCLA now, have film minors.

If you're aiming for a Masters degree in Film, I wouldn't major in it as an undergraduate. Have it has a minor so the shorts you do have will be useful when applying to graduate schools. And like Jayimness said, taking Film as a graduate after already learning a lot as an undergraduate as a major will have the feeling of repititiveness. Get a Bachelors degree in something you're interested other than film and then apply to graduate schools for film. That is truly the smart thing to do.
