Ok. I gotta Cut to the Chase. Any advice would be great here. I am currently looking to transfer to a top school where I can finish my undergrad in critical studies. As I do not currently have the time to physically go to class, I was curious if anyone had any experience(or knew of anyone) with regards to a Critical Studies online degree. I'm not looking for Devry, but a top notch program. If necessary, I will struggle through the traditional route...but as I plan to go to Grad school as well, I really do not find the importance of a brick and mortar school at this time, given my current time restraints. As always, thanks to everyone for their responses. Can't wait to hear from ya :-).

How much of your undergrad coursework have you already completed?

I don't mean to be a jerk, but shouldn't getting a degree be on the top of your list if you plan on going to Grad school? I understand if you have other obligations (like work to pay the bills) but you're really not going to get the quality education online that you would get in a regular school setting. I also think that in a Grad School application a college would prefer someone with a traditional educational background in undergrad. That's just my two cents on the issue.

Also, I am not aware of any such degrees online. You could possibly look at a school with a more flexible option that offers night classes or maybe you could go part-time and finish later.

thanks for the responses guys. braininabox- With summer courses, I have finished all general education, electives and my minor...given of course credits transfer to where I'm headed. Laudy32-nah, man, you don't sound like a jerk. I want honest answers...that's why I'm on here :-). I'm afraid you might be right with regards to online not being as quality as a traditional school. It's just that online has worked out so well since I've been back(4.0 GPA), I guess I'm afraid to rock the boat, ya know? Although if I can swing one my top transfer choices(Yale, Amherst, Columbia, etc)I'm sure I will adjust;-).

Hm. If you have finished your Gen. Ed./Electives/Minor it seems to me that you are in a very versatile position. With a few semesters of major-only work you can get a wide variety of degrees. If you are planning on going to Grad School, its not too as important what you get your ungrad degree in. How loyal to Critical Studies are you?

braininabox-I'm not completely loyal to Critical Studies, although if i do not take anything related to Art, I will probably not enjoy life too much. That's why I'm considering Yale, Stanford, Amherst, etc. Although not known for their film programs, I imagine I could get into any Grad school coming from one of these schools.

I was thinking something more along the lines of a communications degree. I think your chances of finding that degree offered online would be much higher.
