I go to SCAD and I am a film major. As far as I know you have to pay for your own film stock. As far as creative freedom is concerned you can almost do anything. The teachers are very laid back here, and dont mind if you use some "curse" words every now and then haha, so you dont have to make your films something you would see on PBS. There's a lot of good places to shoot in Savannah, and yes there's a lot to do. Malls, movie theaters, good restaurant, trolley tours, parties, bars, river street is cool, but I dont know what the dorms are like I love in an apartment, sorry. Theres also short films being shot all the time where you can help out as a crew member or actor, so its cool.
