I am thinking of going to LA Film School , Full Sail, or academy of Art Unvi. I am currently going to ITT Tech and its a private school with small class sizes and lots of hands on labs. LA Film and Full saild joined together so they are almost the same just in differnt locations.They dont offer dorms so i have no idea how living costs are to be paid for. I go to the academy of art right now. Your best bet is to go to a school in LA because its easier to get into productions when you aren't doing your own. However, the benefits of the academy are that you get a degree and they give you a lot of opportunity. Anyone that goes here can attest to that... hardly any limitations to what you want to film. But - open enrollment really brings down the quality of the mpt dept. in the first couple of years, so I've been told (and I tend to agree so far). There's a bunch of idiots that shouldn't be in mpt but they are, and you have to deal with their incompetence. I looked into going to los angeles film school when I lived in hollywood and it just kept hinting that its a scam. They want a LOT of money, and they sell big names (Roger Corman and Jon Avnet) as being people that you can get opportunity with. Not sure about that. Hope this helps.
