There may be a topic on this, but i tried doing a search and couldn't find anything,So, the first thing they ask for Film and Television is:

A one page resume that highlights creative work accomplished, activities and relevant employees.

Does this resume have to be related to Film/Television? For instance, if I volunteer with an NGO such as IRC, should I not put this down?

Or when it says, creative work accomplished, should I only put things that were recognized? Or lets say, I made a 3 min clip about child trafficking, can I still put that down? Or does it have to be a movie that made to a certain film festival?

The last part about relevant employees. Is that only if your work was related to film and television. So I am guessing a part time job as cashier doesn't count.

One more question about the essay. I am really curious if anyone knows how the admission process at NYU works. I mean, does NYU look at your appilication, then transfer it to tisch regardless of whether they accept you or not? Or NYU only transfers your appilication to Tisch if they accept you?

Because I really want to use the essay i wrote for nyu as part of a "moment you will never forget" but then, if Tish will look at my NYU essay, I would want to write something different for Tisch essay.

Also because my 10 min movie is somewhat related to my NYU essay, and I don't want tisch to see same story three times (1st my nyu essay, then my movie, then my dramatize essay)

It doesn't have to be related to film at all. I think that you should put down things that you feel are relevant to you as a filmmaker and as a person.

I would put down any and all work that you've produced. They definitely don't care if it's been to any festivals, but if it has, I would say so.

Probably not. However, if you think that job informs your stories then definitely put it down.

Grad Film accepts you, then they send it down to the University with a "recommendation" that you be accepted, then the University accepts you. I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure if the Department accepts you the University will too.

So Tisch will look at my NYU essay before they make their decision?

Is it wise to use a memory from my NYU essay to dramatize for Tisch essay? Or would I sound repititive?

I'm a bit confused. Are you applying for undergrad or graduate admissions. Usually there's nothing you have to do for the University.

I am applying to undergrad. And they obviously require an essay. I was just curious if I would hurt my chances if I used the same story for both NYU and Tisch essays.

But I sent my appilication yesterday. So oh well.
