NO! Full Sail and FSU should not be mentioned in the same breath nor the same sentence. Bad school. BAD! (atleast compared to FSU) Yes FSU is hard to get into but they do have a great program. One students thesis film got him a three pic deal with Dimension, anothers was nominated for a student academy award. They actually provide the budgets for your films. Earlier on 16mm they only give you like $200 but they cover all costs of film stock, processing and tranfer. For senior thesis they select 5 scripts and give those five directors a $25,000 budget which you can spend as you see fit. They do have a 35mm cam so every year atleast one shoots 35mm. If you cant get in FSU there are several other good ones. Savanah arts college (I know thats not the right name) has a great program as does North Carolina School of the Arts. (Side note: Did anyone watch the Oscars? The winner for best short film titled "Two Soldiers" gave props to his film school... NCSA) Just dont waste your money on Full Sail. Go to a real school and get a real degree. A big ad in Filmmaker magazine does not a good school make. R. Michael "Luck, is when opportunity, meets preperation." "There are 3 sides to every story. Im not sure as far as members here but being from Florida and a part of the Palmb Beach Film Fest I have seen TONS of the work out of there and have 5 friends who have attended. I seriously hear nothing but good things about it and the work speaks for itself. R. Michael "Luck, is when opportunity, meets preperation." "There are 3 sides to every story.
