hii everyone im actually new! =)
i've been reading posts about Tisch..
it's my dream school actually but there's gonna be some difficulties since.. im actually from hong-kong but now studying in Melboure.
I'm still in Gr.10 but going into Gr.11 and im studying media and made 2 short films and im about to make a new one..
and im just wondering do i have to do the SAT?
Cuz my math level is really low and it impossible for me to do the test for math.
im willing to do anything to try to get to to TISCH in the future.
I'm also looking up the internet about tisch's summer programme but the thing is my summer holiday is in DEC-JAN.. but yea..
i seriously need help.

One suggestion would be since you said that your math is really low that you get a math tutor to help you raise your SAT scores.

Tisch is really competitive and a low SAT could hurt you. I'd study as much as you can and get tutoring help to raise your score.

Im actually thinking would transfer work?
as in ill do my first yr in melbourne then try to transfer to Tisch without doing the SAT..
and im not sure do i only have to do the english and math sat ? is that rite ?

I have only 8.5 months to prepare for tests. I am going to take ACT, as it's more easy for those, who aren't so good in Math (as I heard).

What about high school summer camps and workshops, I advice you to try New York Film Academy (it's located in NYC, LA, Florida, France, at Harvard and as I remember in Italy as well). They have good enough technology and I read many positive things about their 3- or 4-week filmmaking program

You should try to get get in as a freshman if you truly want to go to Tisch - if you fail, you then have the back up of trying again.

Tisch does take standardized test scores heavily into account (more so than schools like USC and Chapman) - so I'd focus on studying what you're not good at and practicing what you are good at.

They also pay attention to your work (films, scripts, photos and etc), which is desirable, if you really want to get in. So my advice is to send some narrative short film.

cuz as i noticed.. uni in the states starts in september whereas yr12 students will finish their final exams for the enter score and stuff in september then they can get the result in oct.

I can't really be sur ein this, but as I think you still have to take them as well. I have the same situation. I am Armenian living in Moscow currently and I am going to apply next fall.
