Hello,

My name is Oren Soffer. I'm 19 years old, nearly 20; I live in Israel and am currently about halfway through my 3-year stint as a soldier in the IDF. I have had a passion for filmmaking all my life which increased greatly in the 10th grade. During high school I participated in a film theory/filmmaking class and made 8 clips/short films. My post-military plans are to move back to the U.S. where I grew up and hopefully attend film school.

I'm wondering if anybody can help me. I'm totally lost and don't even know where to begin. How do I apply? What are the requirements? What film schools should I even be looking at? How can I orchestrate all this from the other side of the Atlantic? What are the procedures required to apply from a foreign country (It should be noted that I DO have an American citizenship)?

If someone could just point me in the right direction and help me get started on all this, I'd really, really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!
