hi..i have a boyfriend thats been in a film line for almost 10 years.he's been doing commercial and also a few feature film.
What really sadden me is he has given so much of his life in this film line and i know that he wanted more than that.he's a very ambitious person and i would really love to see him excel more in his carreer.i've gone through some of the film school which is NYU and etc etc..and all i find is that they require certain level of qualification for enroll.all i know my boyfriend only pass high school level and he started in film lione since he is quite young.and the fees is extremely expensive.

Can any of you suggest anything that i can do to help him out?BTW he doesnt know that i've join this website so i guess its better for just me to know.

Thx

I'm sorry that I can't help with your question being from Australia and all but I just wanted to say that your boyfriend is extremely lucky to have a partner that not only believes in what he is doing but supports him so much. Good work. I hope some of the other guys here can help you out.

Well... 10 years experience on the field value much more than a degree. Are you sure he needs the school? If I would be a video producer, I would hire him without thinking too much about it...

Manuel,

i would lke him to try other things but the film industry in Malaysia wasnt as good as in other country.its so limited and they dont really appreciate what have these people done to help the industries.

Any other suggestion? Pls let me know as im very keen on this matter.

Manuel is right. Having the experience for 10 years is good enough. Your partner maybe talented but the keyword there is "Malaysia". Im from a country in the South East Asia too. I know how the film industry works there. It's going to be hard for him to excel if he stays in Malaysia what you should be working on to begin with is to have your partner get here in America. This is a land of unlimited opportunities for guys like him. Once he gets here, the rest will be up to him.
