for the tisch dramatic writing part of the application, it says "no longer than 4 pages." mine is 2 and a half, and i feel i can write very little more on the subject (although I feel what I have is very good). does it matter that it is over a page shorter than the limit?

im working on that right now as weell, and what i am confused is when they say dramatic essay, how is that different from a short story? i found this http://nyu.infopop.cc/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/3594083261/m/8501018591 but it doesnt explain much
would writing a screenplay be better? 4 pages of screenplay hardly counts for much, though...

I wrote a short story, about a real event. I think it's pretty much entirely free-form. If they like it - good, if not... well, you get the idea.

"No longer than 4 pages" should indicate that anything less than that is okay. I wrote a short story; about 3 pages long, and I personally think I could have done a lot better but hey, I got in. +__+ It doesn't matter that your piece is only 2.5 pages long - if it's good, it's good. And it's even better than you feel good about it.
