It really depends on the school. Some want a video/art portfolio, others don't. I applied to Columbia College in Chicago and they didn't require a portfolio (but that was over a year ago).

Columbia College in Chicago is a great school, they have excellent equipment and good tools (and a strange mix of professors - some excellent, others terrible - according to my friend that went there.) They practically have open admissions so it's as easy to get in as it is to not get accepted Wink . They have a scholarship called the Presidential Scholarship where (if you have 3.0 GPA or higher) you can send in 10 minutes of video work and if they like it, they grant you $4000 a semester (as long as your GPA stays above 3.0 during your time there). The school may seem a little pricey (to some) but that money is put to good use.

you know what, I'm not exactly sure. sorry. But try giving their admissions office a call and asking. I'm sure they'd know something.
