It really depends on the school. Some want a video/art portfolio, others don't. I applied to Columbia College in Chicago and they didn't require a portfolio (but that was over a year ago).
Hello, thanks for replying to my post. I have no problem with making a video but I am interested in Columbia College Chicago because my dad lives there, and Ive been wanting to move closer to him for years now. Is there admission process greuling or pretty easy if you have enough money to pay! lol
Thanks for your help!

Columbia College in Chicago is a great school, they have excellent equipment and good tools (and a strange mix of professors - some excellent, others terrible - according to my friend that went there.) They practically have open admissions so it's as easy to get in as it is to not get accepted . They have a scholarship called the Presidential Scholarship where (if you have 3.0 GPA or higher) you can send in 10 minutes of video work and if they like it, they grant you $4000 a semester (as long as your GPA stays above 3.0 during your time there). The school may seem a little pricey (to some) but that money is put to good use.
