I've been accepted to both Drexel and NCSA, but in comparing the two am not sure what would be a better move.
I went to North Carolina School of the Arts for Summer Session in 2007 for five weeks, so I have a pretty good idea of the program, area, campus and what not. My concern is that the program is being changed with the new dean and they took a VERY long time to confirm/deny acceptances, so I'm concerned that the college may be disorganized and possibly in turmoil because of the changes.
I looked at Drexel a while ago and was impressed with their program (especially the co-op opportunities), but only really started considering it when I was reconsidering schools while waiting for NCSA's final decision. Upon the second look, I was even more impressed with what they have to offer. My concern is that it would be a completely new environment and that I have no idea what to really expect other than what the department itself is presenting; in other words, I have no "insider perspective" in the way that I do for NCSA.
So, all of that being said...which school do you think would be a better move? Which is more esteemed in the industry, and which education is more likely to lead to better opportunities down the road? Let me know if you have any tips regarding the topic; it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You've been to the summer program so you know what your working with. Great facilites, and resources.
The Changes are nothing to be concerned about. There really for the best and some of them are irrelvent like changing the name to University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
If I were you I would take a look at these 2 programs agian and see what you like best about each and what you like least.
But take into consideration that I am not all that familiar with Drexel's program.

From what I've gathered, Drexel is a "sleeper" film school. It doesn't have much of a name recognition, and not many people are even aware of the program. However, it seems that it may have one of the best individualized programs out there. Because they are so many people going to college nowadays, most departments are often overloaded and don't have sufficient funding/equipment to go around. Drexel though, has a rather small film program, in terms of student size. Also, from what I hear they have great equipment in good condition, and distributed evenly among the students. The Co-Op program is great too. Must students who do film/video internships compete to get those positions, and are usually not paid. Drexel will hook you up with a PAYING internship. On top of that, the new Dean of the school used to be President/Senior for Miramax Films. I don't go to Drexel, but often wonder......

I don't know much about Drexel, but NCSA is cool. I'm a 1st year here. The changes aren't that serious, I was worried too, but they're not that bad. And Jordan Kerner is the Dean! He's like the filmmaking Dumbledore, if Dumblebore were kinda on Sytherin, apparating and disapparating and stuff. He knows like everybody!
Film school is film school, you know, it gives you technical skills and networking, so take from it what you will.
Hit me up if want to know more about NCSA.
