I'm in a community college. I don't have many classes left to take to complete my general requirements. I am applying to film school for Fall 2009.

I can either take one class this summer and have the rest of the summer (5-6 weeks) to work on my application.

OR

I can take the summer off and have close to THREE months off to work on my application and add A LOT more experience/work/etc on my resume.

The thing is, when I apply, the classes I have left to take, won't be fulfilled until the application is already due. So is it okay to take some of the required transfer classes until after the application is due? I would want to take the class I want to in Winter session but I'm not sure how that looks. Do I make any sense? Hopefully someone understood me.

Also, one more thing.

When I apply, I will have 23 or so units completed. But after I complete all my classes in my current CC, I will have 32+.

Is it okay that I will only have 23 units at the time of applying since most schools ask for 30+ units for transfers?

It should be fine.

I applied to MFA programs before my BA was completed, all they required was the final transcripts and a list of the classes I would take before I got there.

Good luck.
