I'm currently looking at two schools & I'm having a hard time deciding between the two. I was hoping that anyone with any experience at either might offer me some advice. First off though, let me tell you that the two I chose are in Philadelphia, mainly because of the close proximity to my home, so they are the ones I'd like to transfer to. I don't want to have to spend extra money living outside the family home right now. I currently attend at state college & am getting my basics done there so I can save some money. The two schools I'm choosing between are The University of the Arts & Drexel. Thanks for any help!!

I am not familiar with either school you've mentioned, but here's some general thoughts, if they help:

Visit the schools and find out detailed information about the programs.

Do web searches with the name of the school and rating or review after it. You may find websites on which students have commented upon the schools.

See if you can find a publication or other information that talks in detail about the programs (or just consult the school's website). Look in the catalog or graduate bulletin and read the course descriptions of the required courses and also some that you think you might take as electives. Then you can choose the school that has courses which seem the most interesting to you.

See if you can talk to students who go there, maybe on your visit to the campus, and find out the real information about how they like attending that school.

For me, finances are a factor, as it seems they are for you, too. So, I haven't applied anywhere out of the state because of the greater cost for out-of-state tuition. Also, which one has given you the better financial aid package?

You may have already considered these, but maybe something here is of help.
