hi all, just joined
my skool only allows me to send 6 applications. n i hav 7 on my list. im definetly applyin to USC, NYU. my others r BU, texas-austin, san fran state, syracuse n UMiami.
i heard san fran state had a good film skool even thou overall, its just another state skool. is this true? n any1 heard anythin about UMiami?
n i read ppl talkin about BU, even thou wen i read the program description, i thought it had little production emphasis, any1 disagree?

SF State

It's not a top tier film school by any means, but it has recently had an infusion of cash and from what I hear (I live in the Bay Area) it's not a shabby program, although it stresses more film theory than production. That cuts both ways as one without the other is troublesome. But San Francisco has a HUGE art scene, lots of actors and of course really goes out of it's way to celebrate diversity. But that can be very tiresome, unless your into Brazilian Vampire Abstract Musicals that celebrate the uselessness of men.
