Hm.. I visted Emerson a while ago, here were my thoughts on it: They had the equipment and the facilities, but honestly the place didn't impress me at all. Connections aside, the place seemed like a breeding ground for elitism that I just didn't dig. Honestly, if you want to try something just as good if not better at less than half the price, check out Fitchburg State College. I visited there last weekend with a lot of skeptisim... I mean honestly, Fitchburg? But to my surprise and delight it was a fabulous school! Their facilities more than match that of Emerson, and they provide all the cameras and editing machines you could want (they just bought an assload of G5s, and I saw several Avid Pro Stations... nice...) At around 10,000 a year, it's a bargain, and whereas film students are generally poorer than most, the extra cash could be the difference between having a nice Editing Apple or not. I mean granted, Emerson might be more to your liking, and I'm sure they aren't all elitest, but give Fitchburg a look too, don't be stupid like I was and scoff at state schools for film! --Steve, sending his App to Fitchburg RIGHT NOW--
"Don't be that guy who doesn't film stuff!"
