hey, im not sure if im going to get any hits on this or not... but im going to give it a shot anyway.

i need a school that is good with technical aspects yet is very good in theory too, and shows you how to create not just a beautiful looking film, but something that tells a story and has a interesting, unique plot, A school that isnt too industry influenced, but has very good connections to hollywood, and offers interns. Sort of an independent film program, focusing on developing your style or creating your style. Any insight to this decision would be greatly appretiated!

You're asking for some conflicting things - a place that has hollywood connections, but isn't influenced by it. You wont, fully, find that. From what you're describing, though, you might want to look in to Chapman. It is developing connections, and yet is young and new enough to still be slightly less mainstream. It doesn't necessarily have the "indie" focus of, say, NYU, but it is still a great little school.

I would, however, suggest looking in to all the major film schools in depth. USC, NYU, Chapman, FSU, etc., all have individual strengths and weaknesses and will each give you a great education in film. Look into them, and good luck!

thanks alot cinematical. yeah, your probably right about films schools and hollywood. so far chapman definitely seems like the best option, im just trying to figure out if im missing a better school out there for me, that would kill me. still, chapman would offer a great education and everything about it i like.. i just dont want to put all my eggs in one basket, because i may not get accepted and i have to think about that. NYU is another, but its so prestigious i really dont think i could get in.. im a good student, 3.97 gpa last semester, but i dont have very many qualifications.. do u have any advice what to do in highschool to make myself more appealing to film schools? especially schools like nyu?
