Hey, I'm interested in applying to art schools this fall, emphasis on film. So far I'm looking at (in ranking order):
1)california college of art
2)san francisco art institute
3)the school of the art institute of chicago
4)school of visual arts (NY)

can anyone help me narrow my decision? perhaps some of you are current or past students of these schools. thanks.

I don't believe the Art Institutes in San Fran offers film majors. I go to the Art Institutes in LA. It's a really good school however, you will only get what you put in. And a note, if you want to shoot on the "film" medium then this is not the school for you. On this school you shoot everything on video, which is cheaper but they do emphasis film theories. Of course you do have to take a few TV classes to ensure you get some sort of job when you grad.
