Hi everyone.

ok so I'm currently a student at BMCC and I am also taking a course at the New School. I have I believe a 2.8 h.s. GPA which is not that good however, I have a 3.26 college gpa with the 15 credits I've earned so far. So basically I'm looking for a film program to transfer to at some point. Now I have enough credits to get into the CUNY Baccalaureate program which the only individualized major program in CUNY. And to go there I don't have to submit my high school transcripts. I was told at an information session at NYU that they wouldn't turn me down for having transferred before. I only took the SAT I and I got a 330 Verbal and 440 Math and I think getting those scores up will be much harder than college itself. I understand that to transfer to NYU you have to submit SAT I and high school transcripts no matter how many credits you have. So as for what I want to do I know I want to do something in the film industry but I'm not sure exactly what. I'll probably try being an assistant to a producer, casting directer, entertainment lawyer, and agent to feel things out. I already know I have a talent for casting and I am a screenwriting beginner. But from what I understand it's not that important that your degree says screenwriting. And I need to do other things as well. So basically what I'm looking for in a school is a program that isn't geared only towards one thing . Like an individualized program. I already know of the CUNY BA/BS individualized program and NYU Gallatin. And I also want as little a core curriculum as possible (because I'm bad at Math and Science) but I'm willing to consider all the factors. I want to be able to take business courses as electives for if decide to become a producer. Now I've also heard that the film and television program at NYU is rather flexible. I found that SUNY Purchase has an individualized Liberal Arts program but the film courses are only open to film majors. And there is also the New School but my hesitation with that is that all the classes are in the evenings and all the students are most likely to be a lot older than me from what I understand. And social stuff is a factor too. And I also wonder if it's important for my degree to at least say film something. So anyways, I'm going to stop there because I know this is long and if any thing is not clear just let me know. I just want a list of colleges that have film, business, and screenwriting courses and are flexible in both major and core requirements and I possibly could transfer to without high school and SAT being a big factor. And I don't have time to do extracurriculur stuff either. So any suggestions would be most helpful.

I've never heard of a Bachelor's program that didn't require math, history, writing, etc.

Aren't we all required to do Core/Gen Eds to get a bachelor's degree?

Everywhere?

Otherwise, it's just a trade school.

Good luck.
