Hey man, we are on the same page. I trust that by rating your film you will return the favor. I felt it was great. Hold on a minute though. I also felt that it was inconsistent. Sometimes, the cinematography was superb. Others, I felt it was just under par. Sometimes, the acting was good, and others, it was way over the top. Overall, I thought it was definetely something that's going to catch the attention of Tisch. It's far different than mine, and I don't know exactly what they're looking for, and I don't even think people who got in know exactly, but I feel that you have a great chance. I really wish you the best, I really do. This stuff isn't easy, but it's worth it. I hope to see you next fall. Tyler

Honestly, I wasn't a big fan considering the production value was working against you. Seeing what appears to be a good crane and dolly moves, made me expect a lot from your movie and think you'd made many shorts and had mastered most other aspects. I think this would leave better impressions of your talents had it been done handheld and maybe a tripod. But as for what could've been better... Acting swung all over the place. Overacting was the largest problem, seemed like they thought it was a stage production and not a movie. It struggled with tone, but I can't really point my fingure on the specifics of that. The reflection in the table transition with the paper slamming on the desk was great. Maybe quickly panning up to the mom's actual face instead od zooming would'be been just a little better though. Still the great part imo. I didn't believe the mom was innocent at any point the movie, but getting an actor to walk that line is something even the best directors today have trouble with. There are people on this site that score films for free. If you're submitting this to people that look at student films all day long, I'd avoid using music that's already been used many times before.
