I just got into ohio university. no biggie, its my safety. yet i see on all sorts of top rated film schools, and its frequently featured in the top 15 or 20, yet they dont have an undergraduate film program? or do they? all tehy have is a communications/video production major. also, they dont have BA or BFA, they have something like B.S.C.), a Bachelor of Science in Journalism (B.S.J.), or a Bachelor of Science in Visual Communication (B.S.V.C.)... are those any good. ive never heard of such a thing

can anyone give me insight into this school. i may have to go if i dont get in anywhere else.
why is it so highly regarded? is it only their graduate school that is so top notch? help.

I can't say much about the school from personal experience, however, my best friend is a sophomore there and he says they have some great classes in visual communication. But socially, if you don't drink alcohol, don't go there because practically everyone drinks. There was once a pile of vomit outside of his dorm room that stayed there for 3 weeks...the janitor just happened to miss it...(sorry, that was really random but I had to say it). Great school academically, but a lot of people puking.

do you live in ohio? i was considering going there myself as a 'safety'.

all i know is that the film program is for a masters degree and it's incredibly tough to get into...you need to be at least in the top 10% of your graduating class and need at LEAST a 30 on your ACT. insane if you ask me.

but i'm looking at the telecommunications major there, it seems cool. they have avids, yay.

i know a bunch of people there so if you want more info feel free to im me.

choosing college is tough.
