hi! I am an architecture student, currently in my final year and in the process of developing my thesis proposal---a film school. I chose to develop a film school because personally i love films and I am very curious in how they are made.

I would like to ask for your assistance in acquiring information needed for my proposal.

What are the programs you search for when choosing a film school?

As a student, what type of atmosphere do you think is helpful for your learning and creativity, especially in this craft?

If you are a student in a film school, what are the facilities found in your school?

thank you so much everyone!

In designing any type of school you want spacious class rooms and computer lab. Lighting in a class room environment needs to be well lit but not harsh. Pastel colored walls nothing to dark or bright. Each class room would need screens and projectors needed for presentations and DVD play back.
School features:
Mix Theatre
ADR and Foley rooms
Props room
Back lot or Sound Stage
Workshop warehouse for prop and set design
Equipment storage and checkout
Edit Labs

Four 5000sq ft sound stages and 1 10000ft sound stage. A back lot with a fake city street with buidlings. Also two orchestra rooms where film soundtracks can be recorded.

An ADR room, Folley Room, and a Mix Theater would all be great. Be sure to include at least 10 Private editing rooms and 2 big editing labs for class room purposes.

There should be at least one 150 seat capacity theater with a film reel library.

There should also be room set up for meetings, bassically a couple of private board rooms where movie ideas can be hashed out.
