Thanks Bird! Ya, I can't please everyone I have already gotten a taste of that at my movie theatre job. Some movies I love and my friends hate,a nd vise versa. It's very difficult to make a movie even a majority like! ick. And some people can't be pleased by anything! One of my friends from work said I was ruining my life going into film, and that I would never be successful..and then she kept saying all the movies at our theatre sucked! Well, I think she's just plain negative about everything. I told her that of course I would never be sucessful if I thought like her! Good grief.

Sometimes the title of your movie/project is in the sentence that you used to describe it. How about: 1. Inner Guilt or 2. Inner Struggle or both 3. Inner Struggle with Guilt Wow, my screen name happens to be Inner, so Ms.Jackiepants your gonna need to ask me for a permit to use "Inner" or send $5 to 555 east HAHA street.

So no matter what, no matter how the film shoot goes or how it turns out, just keep trying. It takes a lot of practise to make a decent film... I mean I've been doing this for 5 years now and I still don't think I can make a decent film.
I do wish you the best of luck, and I would be interested in seeing your finished product in the future.
Now this is a person with a great attitude and someone I would enjoy working with. Don't sell yourself short Birdie, all it takes is repetition to be a successful. Repetition and persitance are almost the same thing. With them both you have a career in film making.

Thanks Inner, and I would also enjoy working with someone like yourself, you also have a great attitude which is very important. Also I do like the names that Inner has suggested for the movie's name... And Inner's suggestions have given me an idear for a name: Struggle of Guilt... Anyways it's just a suggestion, and I hope pre-production is going well for you Jackiepants... I myself have also just entered pre-production for a new movie.
Sincerely, Bird

lol Inner! *hands five bucks* You both sound like great people to work with! Attitude is everything in this business. (Not that I would know, but so far it sure seems that way- so many movies never get off the ground) Production IS going greatso far...difficult at times, but I am pushing through! I finally got some headway at the Sheriff's office- they are doing a background check of me. (Think I'll pass? lol!) I also got the Sprecher keg, and had to have it specially ordered! That was awesomeness right there..!!! I met another Christian filmmaker today, sorta...I met his mom, who I used to know way back when...apparently her son Tom wants to do the same as me- produce "claen" films, not necessarily outwardly Christian ones. He just moved to LA yesterday! Interesting...she is going to give me his email so I can ask his advice on stuff, and maybe work together in the future! I like your ideas for names, too- keep them coming! I want it to be something short and sweet...lie one word, and catchy and scarey. (Not too easy, Ik! lol)

I see what you mean by "negative people", I have a friend that is the same way. I myself am not heavy into religion, but I don't have a problem at all with it. If someone wants to make a film heavy on christianity, who cares. I can understand what you mean about making films not heavily directed to christians. That is probably a good idea. Sprinkle a bit of religion into your films, they don't need to be something you would see on PAX. I remember a christian filmmaker named Tom something on here. He made a short called "The Room". This sounds like the guy you are talking about.

Wow, how ironic would THAT be?! Wow. That would be soo cool if he had been here before me....! Anyways, I got two teaser trailers done to advertise the movie. Who to, I really don't know...and they turned out pretty poorly, too. But whatever! lol I am about to get started on the real filming, and man I'm excited! Just a few more things still need doing...

I've got some bad news, guys...the Sheriff's office called and they said they can't let me shoot there because of security reasons. So now I have to call the Waukesha police dept. and hope that they will allow me to shoot in the holding areas they have. Not nearly as good, but o well. I sure hope they let me in there!

Don't think like that! That will just make it harder to do, No you have, yes you can get Good luck, I know how hard it can be to do a first film, and I like the way you think about your faith. Your additude is the best I have seen a while on these forums, positive and lovable, are you on drugs? anyway, again: good luck, hope to see this project going great. - Wesley Winterswijk Special Effects Artist

Awww, thanks Remington! hehe No, I'm not on drugs, don't worry I actually have another setback now...I talked to my manager at West Point Cinema, and asked if I could shoot one scene there (a very important opening scene) and she said no, corporate won't allow it! I was a little taken by surprise on this one! But I took 45 minutes out of my shift to write corporate a page and a half letter about myself, my project, and what the movie could do for them (advertising). I am a good writer if I do say so myself, and the letter was very professional and convincing. My manager said they'd prolly ok it, but if they don't I'll have to rewrite that entire scene! That's not good, so close to shooting! Yikes! Anyways, tech week starts this Wednesday, and that night after my actors get off of work at the cinema we are meeting finally to go over the script together. I'm excited!!!

Whoohoo!! Crisis averted, thank God! Corporate says they will allow me to shoot!!! We have had three meetings now and have accomplished a ton. We even rewrote and totally improved the beginning of the movie! And guess what?! I get to use my friends' Canon XL2! So much for using a cheesy analog Sony camcorder! I get to use it for free, too! He wants to be the actual handler though, which kinda sucks but I totally understand. I still can be listed as Director of Photography. Tech week is going well so far. We made the light stands, a reflector stand, and attached wheels to a cirular board for mobile shots with the tripod. Now we simply have left a handmade Steadycam, a tracking device, and a gravestone. We have the cement already, and a basic mold, but we are not sure how to do the letters yet. Any ideas?

Great! It sounds like you REALLY have this together. Much more so than a typical first film. | PerryKroll.com | TRC | "If not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled." Wodehouse

I finally got plans fixed at the police station! I am not using a jail cell. Instead I am using the local police station's holding cells, and the police officer I know is still willing to say a few lines in uniform! We are set to shoot at 3:30 on Thursday, the 18th. Yay!!! I also got one person willing to be a "worker" in the marcus shot, and one person to be a customer. It's hard to get people willing to come in at 7 am for an extras shot But I have two so far!

Don't mean to break the whole positive energy thing you've got going here, but those titles sound sort of crap. I really don't like them. Did you decide on a title yet? Anyway, keep up the good work.

hey, i don't have any experiance or anything, i'm still in the writing things down stage (i'm 14 and have been writing a script for 2YEARS! ). but reading these messages has been really inspireing . i hope to do something similar one day soon. can i also add that i to have some title ideas, i know you probably have more important things to worry about but thinking of what everyone has suggested and you said that you wanted one word. one word that would grap peoples intreste make people want more. well why don't you call it "struggle". it's one of the ways you would describe the film and it says alot. it tells you that this film isn't going to be "a piece of cake" and it describes the feelings the charater will go thought. it's scary, catchy and exciteing. but then what do i know, just a suggestion. keep up the good work Rachel (unique_rehead)

Struggle...I think perhaps it should be a noun of some type. "struggle" could be the struggle for anything, not specifically drunk driving. But keep the ideas coming! I appreciate it, and thanks for saying I inspired you! THanks cool, hehe We finished the tracking shot, extras are still in short supply, but we're gonna be ok I think! Now I have to get past the whole waking up at 5 am thing....but I can sleep all day if I want! lol I took off work for the whole week!
