EDIT:Sorry everyone, aparently the images dissapeared shortly. THey should work now.
So I just finished shooting a short music video for the song Snowball by Devo (it's a great song. You can find it on their Freedom Of Choice album), and I just started editing the whole thing. It already feels pretty daunting even just thinking about how much time it's going to take to make this thing come together (lots of effects heavy shots plus hand-drawn animation). Still, I'm sure it'll be pretty fun.
Anyway, here are some pics my friends that helped me make the video and I took while shooting:
Giant, unpainted hands that we use in one shot. They were used to create an homage to an old They Might Be Giants music video. Jeff, our guitarist
Joseph, our keyboardist A blurry shot of me (Sam) telling Joseph what to do. I brought in my computer to play the song over the band. I would've used a normal stereo, but we needed exceptionally loud speakers to hear over Tanner's (pictured center here) drumming. Also, it served as something to pass the time when I wasn't using them for a shot, as seen here. Tanner in action. We ended up stripping down Tanner's drum set to the essentials for the shoot, as shown here. We did this to reduce any extranious stuff that might obstruct the shot, and also so we wouldn't have to haul so much stuff back and forth from his place to mine. From left: Tanner, Jeff, Joseph
That's about it for now. I'll post more later if I find anything else worth sharing.
good luck with the greenscreen work, it looks like it might be tough, there's quite a few shadows in the material. looks pretty cool though, hopefully you'll put it online somewhere so we can see it when you're done.
Really, the shadows weren't as aparent as they may seem in the pics, plus not all of our lights are on in some of those shots.
I'm trying to experiment more with color replacement effects in Premiere rather than going straight to a greenscreen or chromakey effect, and it seems to be working quite well.
