my current project, which has been know to very few, is a short im writing, currently titled "nineteen"...
its a drama...(go figure) as the days progress, ill fill you in on more and more information. (droppin hints, here and there)
it will be a short film, about 15 minutes long. and i plan on actual production to start mid october. as of right now, im still in pre-production writing.
and of course, i go on awesome writing sprees, and then i lose that awesome streak, and then i cant write anymore, which is EXACTLY where i stand at this moment.
writers block sucks. really does.
i am VERY excited about this new film and i hope to have it up here on studentfilms around the end of december.
so lets see, i hope to be done with writing a rough draft within the next couple of weeks. and then i have to worry about casting, equipment, crew, etc. and yes, i definitely plan on submitting this film to film festivals...
you'll come to see that this diary for NINETEEN will be off the top of my head, so if you are looking for well thought out, organized journal entries.. then look elsewhere..
once i get it written, and secured legally, ill be glad to post it on here as well.
take it easy, check back soon for more updates! later, j.

made the update to final draft v7 (must say, i like it a lot)
still writing and rewriting. and then trashing. and then writing some more. this film will be pretty close to some things ive experienced, so i want it to be real. not stereotypical teen agnst melodrama "bull****". thats why im trying to put everything i can into the script, so it will shine on screen.
im already scouting locations in atlanta. have a few places in mind, but have to brush up on the permit stuff...(better safe than sorry, right?)
im working on a new website of mine, which means new content coming soon on the site. which is why i would like to finish writing this soon, so i can worry about locations, cast, crew, budget, equipment, rentals, and everything else i need/should be panicing about at this very moment.
one of my good friends, who i will announce at a later date, has been doing some samples of scoring, and i am very happy with the outcome. sound is such an important part of a movie, so i want to make sure that the soundtrack is flawless.
so what are my goals? what am i trying to achieve?
i want to make a damn good movie. (first and foremost)i want to make a film that makes people think.
i do plan on entering this film in festivals, and plan on killing off ANY competition at the atlanta film festival. this past summer was a letdown to see that there arent a lot of teen filmmakers here. (and to be honest, their stuff sucked anyways)
i would love to win a few student competitions with this piece, and thats what im setting out to do.
wow, i need to go to bed. 4:08am...on saturday morning now.
take it easy everyone! more updates soon!
-j.
