ONE SHOT REMAKE UPDATE:

Second day of shooting today went great, the first was last night where we got some great outdoor shots of Ben the Junkie wandering around downtown New York City and pulling a gun on a homeless dude. Today's shoot was the first part of the indoor roulette scenes, up until the Outcast says "ditto" (check the One Shot topic in the filmmaker announcements section for the screenplay). Went great, already have it all edited and it's going beautifully, quite excited, going to finish shooting next week with part two of the indoor scene. During the week we're going to shoot the insert flashbacks for each of the characters and I'm going to edit them all together before we shoot the rest, so that way when we shoot part 2 on Saturday I can edit it all together on Saturday night and have the thing finished by late Sunday (in the past it usually takes me much longer, but I'm exercising some of my limited organizational skills with this project in the fact that I'm storyboarding and have already picked out the music for each of the scenes, basically I just need to get the shots in the can and after that it's all editing). It's also the disconnected nature of this movie that helps a lot in terms of the characters' dialogue; if this was a buddy movie or if these characters were friends with each other I'd set up a bunch of different cameras and let them run the lines uninterrupted. But because these characters and this story is so negligent of emotion, at least until the end, I'm having the actors just say the lines for each shot, making it very cold, very solitary. Most times the actors will be saying the lines with no one else in the room. Hopefully the rest of the week will go as well as the past two days have been. I'm rambling, sorry, it's just quite exciting and frankly I think I'm on a production high. Updates to come, until then peace.

I'm playing the "outcast" in this flick. I've seen Conor shoot and what he's made of. I mean this as affectionately as heterosexually possible for one guy to say about another: Conor is justifiably narcisistic. He has talent and it shows in this movie.
(For the morons who didn't understand, One Shot is already better than One Shot. I can't make it any clearer than that. If you have a problem, you can bl*w me. I like the phrase "bl*w me." I think it to be comical.)
good working with you c
P.S. I might as well plug the other movies, since I'm an *******

Conor, you sexy beast.....I am so happy with how this has turned out thus far. All we need now is Jason Biggs. I contest, this will be a great film.

Tizzy, no one's stopping you from posting your opinion (that goes for you too, whoever's reading this right now). If you have insight to share, show it, otherwise I don't see anything wrong with a little support.

ANYWAY-

Just finished editing part 1 of "ONE SHOT- THE REMAKE", and my god if it doesn't look beautiful. If there was a way to do it I'd love to post the main title sequence that took me a good 12 hours straight to edit together, but for now you're just gonna have to trust me when I say that it will rock your f**king socks off. We shot last Sunday in zimmerfidget's laundry room, only to find that the sound was absolutely terrible (laundry machine hum was not a problem for the original), so we decided to move the project to my building's basement, which looks amazing. When I can I'll try to upload some pics to my website, give ya'll a nice clear look at One Shot: Part Deux.
Until then, peace.

Yes. One Shot was the first movie I saw in here, and I liked the idea. I'm pretty new to filmmaking. I thought the idea was both original, and fantastic! I liked the movie, but more editing, more camera angles, and the music (The Two Towers Main Theme - Reqiuem for a Dream Wink), was a bit long to throw in as well, but what the heck, I think yuo're movie is going to rock and I can't wait to see it...

Thanks, Gotan, what a freaking cool thing to say. Meanwhile, I've managed to get some screenshots of One Shot online, here's the link:

You'll see One Shot (part deux was just a working title, referring to the Hot Shots! action movie spoof series, dunno what language it is and I don't really care) when everyone else does, BIGMOVIE. I'm expecting t' finish sometime by next friday, after which I will send it ASAP to Studentfilms, so chances are you'll see it before new years (if not that holiday with the fat red man and the presents). If y' want I'll be accepting DVD orders in the meanwhile. And fer god's sake, man, have you really posted 322 times in th' past seven months? Oy! It's like a big cake, man! Too many candles!

Part deux is not a language at all. Part = english. Deux = french. This is what happens when Part Two and Parte Deux make a love child. YOu made up your own language Conor. Now go watch some french movies.

I didn't make it up, Pat Proft and Jim Abrahams did. Look up Hot Shots! Part Deux on imdb. I haven't seen all that many French films, some random Goddard, Day for Night by Truffaut, Jean Pierre Jeunet, and this beautiful little film called Demi-Tarif (1/2 Price) I saw at the Tribeca Film Festival, about neglected children in Paris. I'd like to see more.
